In response to a question that was rasied in a forum I frequent recently, here are some cabin shots from the Etihad A340-600 flight from Abu Dhabi to London, showing the true window seats in the forward business class cabin.
These windows seats are very private and have full aisle access, without having to climb over anyones legs. Essentially you can see that the odd number rows contain the window seats in positions A and K. The window seats are great not only becuase of the privacy but also becuase of the additional storage space between the seat and the wall of the aircraft, plus the seats in row 9 have an additional flat surface that can be used as a side table during the flight.
Also, the online check in represents the cabin accurately but these seats plus the central "couples" seats get taken very quickly so best to get online and check in immediately the check in opens 24 hours in advance of the flight.
